Assistant Coach Ken Davis

The 2008-09 season will be Ken Davis' second as an assistant coach for the Foresters after spending six years as the head varsity coach at Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois.

He will be directly involved with recruiting, on-the-floor coaching of post players, individual improvement, and scouting. A pair of Lake Forest players earned All-Midwest Conference honors under his direction in 2007-08.

Davis started his high school coaching career at Deerfield High School working with Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame coach Steve Pappas. Davis helped revitalize the program, which earned a sectional berth with All-American guard Ryan Hogan leading the way. He then served as the head sophomore coach at Leyden for six years before being named head coach of the varsity squad. He directed Leyden to a New Trier High School Thanksgiving Tournament Championship (2004), was an IHSA regional finalist (2005), and finished third at the Grant Holiday Tournament (2006).

After graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and minor in Political Science, he worked at the Chicago Board of Trade as a financial futures trader. He also received his Master of Arts degree in Teaching from National-Louis University and started his career in education.
